Albert Barque-Duran is a researcher and a contemporary artist raised in Barcelona and based in London. Albert is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Cognitive Science at City, University of London. His research concerns moral judgment and decision-making and behavioural ethics. Specially, he is interested in the incremental steps arising from present technologies that suggest a need for ethical decision-making capabilities and how the research on human-machine interaction feeds back into humans’ understanding of themselves as moral agents, and of the nature of ethical theory itself. The particular characteristics of human decision-making are a fundamental aspect of what it means to be human.
